I took my Whippet puppy, Devo, 9 months old to a dog show to see his Daddy compete today. 2 of Devo's sisters were there also. Devo's Dad, Briar, won best of opposite sex to the winning best of show female Whippet. We found out today that Devo is "out of standard"...meaning he is too big to show. Devo weighs 43 pounds and is too tall to show. His father weighs 31 lbs, his 2 sisters weigh 27 and 30 pounds. We have a GIANT Whippet! He may not be a show dog...but everyone thought he was the "Best Looking Whippet" there. I guess Devo is like a Donzi...too extreme!
