Another old Barrel Back 18 has surfaced.
Seems there are more of these around than I thought existed !

Yep, barrel back in an original green that you don't see a lot. Very cool, rare boat.

there were approx 230ish produced of course they were the first 18 2+3 produced from 65 to 68. in 68 what we now call the 18 classic made it's first appearance.

so like many early classics this one is older than the owner states.

Not a triple hatch, no slotted wheel, four chrome vents, US/UK flags - probably a '68.

the 18 came with 4 vents from the get go, so that doesn't help with pinning down a year they came with the pennant decals too. but the wheel and the hatch can help.

i seem to remember about hull 100 or so was the cutoff for triple hatches
