Interesting. Wonder if he's producing true lift, or just in ground effect with those ripply wings? Thinking it's a combo of ground effect and downward thrust from his lifting fan.

Don't know if I'd have the sack to ride\fly that thing. :bonk:

He sure gets credit for a cool garage build.

Mostly ground effect. I don't think the basic vehicle will lift more than an inch or three once the seal is broken.
W/the ground effect, you can pop up to probably 20', but it won't stay there.
A few years ago, there was a German designed V-bottomed boat about 15' long and 12' wingspan w/a BMW motorcycle engine powered fan that would cruise at about 60 MPH @ about 3'-4', high enough to miss most wave action.
