They are not photos of Katrina..
Some can be found here
http://extremeinstability.com/2004.htm
and if you google "fake Katrina cloud photos" you can find them all.
quite a few are from 2004..way before Katrina even hit

Well, we have now had some incredible pictures of ice bergs that weren't what the title said, and some very cool cloud pictures that weren't what the title said.

From now on, we should just post pictures with a generic heading; i.e. "Cool cloud pictures" or "Amazing Ice Berg Pictures" and let the pictures stand by themselves.

For whatever reason, people out there think that if they add a story to some pictures they found, it will be better. The picture that keeps showing up of the HUGE bear that was shot was cool all by itself, and then someone makes up a story about it, and it just detracts from the entire experience.

I like a good picture as much as the next person. If you should happen to come across something very cool, just post it without the "potentially incorrect" information that came along with it when it made it way to your computer.

It's like a good novel. They aren't true either, but does that make it any less of a novel?
A rose by any name would smell as sweet.

That is a picture of the iceberg that sank the Titanic.

Taken by Leonardo DiCaprio with his underwater camera, while clinging to whats-her-name.
