i have a 89 black widow 30 with omc king cobras ( no hump) and ford 460`s, love the engines (stock) but the drives are to be changed, i am about to do a conversion to a pair of volvo sx drives ( not duoprop.) ANYONE FOR ADVICES?? ... PROP. SIZE AND PITCH ??

I explored that same switch years back it is pretty expensive and prop selection is limited, that being said you once dialed in will have a very strong package. I understand from a surveyor buddy parts can still be found in the boat surplus yards in Florida and Texas, I would check those sources. You will need the transom shields and drives.

Are there BBF bellhousings that will bolt to the Volvo SX system?

Interesting question! I will call a couple of buddies that may know, they may not know Doo Doo I doubt if it has been done much if ever.

Since this thread started I did some looking around here and on a few other sites I visit. It looks like maybe....but it is unclear. That the OMC bell housings are used and will mate to the SX system.

Mario went through this mating his 302 to the bravo, the biggest issue was relocating the ears where the rest on hte transom shield.
