This might radically reduce displacement. Maybe record speeds?

We are having a very cold, long winter in Boston, worst since I've lived here 10 years. Nice to see a boat out. 5000rpm almost, seems a tad high for a 5.0L. A touch more prop and more trim and you'll see 60mph.

Got it. A touch more trim made 60 MPH (96,9 Km/Hr)

Regretfully my mind works in Km/Hr so 100 Km/Hr (62,14 MPH) is the target.
Time to start playing around with props....

And here's a little more of the ride as part of my public service during your winter time

60 mph in a 22 with a 5.0 engine in mighty fine.

We got another 8" of snow last night. Sure is pretty, though.

...can't believe it's sunshine in Michigan! Tell Parnell to get some pictures of his GT in the sun...

Over 60 mph with a 5.0 in a 22" is extremely good. My 17" searay with a 260 hp 5.0 was just doing 54 mph- that was it although I tried various props... it was not a Donzi of course...

Well, technically mine is not a Donzi either

Back in the 90's a 22C mold was bought from Donzi / imported into Argentina.

Fist boats produced out of that mold were called Bermuda Classic 22 (I understand no more than 5 were built).

Mold owner went bankruptcy / mold was stored for a long time. Then sold to current owner who produced my boat in 2008 (understand mine is hull # 6). He named his production "Couguar 22A".

An original Donzi hull did come in the mold upon import. That hull/boat was the one I had a short ride in and blew my mind. From that point onwards I needed a 22C :nilly:

Long story made short: 40 days after that ride I bought my 22"A".

For the time being I cant import used boats into my country / import taxes on new boats almost double the cost.

My Cougar looks like a Donzi; rides like a Donzi; and I make great efforts not to call her a Donzi..... (well, I sometimes do); so thanks everyone for not pointing that out

Well, same in my country. I live in North Germany/Europe, a Donzi 22C is hard to find. If you import one from U.S. with shipping, customs, taxes it does not make sense although the Dollar is quite cheap at the moment. But you must find a very good deal and it's always the risk something gets stolen or happens during the transport... you have got the Donzi 22C hull, that's what counts, no matter what the name says... Cheers, Axel

A Mirage Plus 25" that has been labbed down to about equivalent 23.5-24" pitch would be great and you would hit 100. Probably $500-750 tho..Lots of used ones around, find one and send it out to lab it.
