View Full Version : Here kitty kitty kitty...
This "Kitty" knows that Deer stands are an easy hunt...
This picture should add a little excitement to all of you going deer
hunting in northern Michigan
Here is a photo of a cougar killed 5 miles west of Rogers City , Mi.
The guy who shot it is 6 foot tall and weighs about 220 lbs. He was in a deer stand and saw the cat pass him downwind. He then saw it pass him upwind... Then, when the cat passed him again (closer this time) downwind, he knew that it was hunting him. So, boom.
After viewing this, do you feel safe in the woods?

We have cougars in Michigan (more than one kind ;)) but that cat seems a little big. You sure it isn't like the iceburgs........

One confirmed report of a mountain lion track in the Eastern UP... A lot of banter otherwise...
We have some in PA, but I don't think that they are that big. I have seen a couple over the years, but they haven't been any bigger than a medium size dog @ the biggest here.. I'm not saying that there cant or aren't bigger ones out here. I just haven't seen them.. Who knows though.. We have a small population of elk in our state too.. Nature is full of surprises.. :) J
