They are www.1800runsnew.com A 454 (7.4l) 330-350hp roller New Marine Base Engine is only $4,699 with no sales tax outside of ma. They say max freight is $119(to this area????).Sounds like a good deal for a guy to slap on his supercharger and go.............wonder who needs to refresh his motor??????:wrench:http://www.1800runsnew.com/panther_new-perf.html check out this panther supercharged engine.

They are decent crate motors but I would not slap a blower on one. They are not really toleranced for that.

I would like to know more about those panthers though.

I dont have a dog in this race but,If you slapped a supercharger, say a pro-charger on a stock motor and that motor was toast why not just buy a crate motor?

I have no problem with slapping a blower on a mag motor. Been there and done that. It works fine. Not optimal but it works fine. Once it blows or gets tired, it is time to do some work.

If you are going to the problem of replacing a bunch of stuff on a blower motor and start over, you should spend a few extra dollars and do it right.

Now if you are going back N/A and not going to ask much out of it, the crate motor will be fine. I would still have someone good go through the heads.

I've bought several motors from 800RUNSNEW over the years. Great to deal with, fast shipping, zero issues.

Like Kurt I have had no issues, they are a good re-builder that will give you years of trouble free running. All the caveats have been mentioned above, but for the stock engine runners grab one!

I bought my New GM Base 502 from them. They upgraded my camshaft to make it 470HP for an additional $250.00
However, they didn't upgrade the valve springs. Lifter bounce distroyed my camshaft an I had metal shavings all through the engine. It had 50 hours on it and I had owned it close to 2 years. No warranty at that point.

All I'm saying is, be careful if you have them do any modifications.
