Guys,
I just listed my friend's 54 Bertram. While at his house, he showed me something else. His father bought this Cig 28SS new in 1977 in Miami for him. I believe it was $13k new, which had to have been a ton of money. Anyway, he has had it ever since. In 2005, it was headed for the dump and Lee was going to buy a new center console. His wife was convinced that something should be done with his 28, so they got to thinking. Long story short, Lee, who is in the marine business, decided to turn it into a center like George Bush, Sr.'s. So now we have a totally tricked-out custom 28 that will run close to 80 with original bolster seats, throttles, wheel and as much as they could keep original. He says it handles better than ever. The boat is bad to the bone but isn't being used as much as it should. I thought I'd run it by you guys before it ends up in my driveway. Asking $59k with aluminum trailer.
