I have a 1990 non vortec 4.3l in my 16 and plan on doing some upgrades this winter. I was about to order a 4 barrel intake manifold for it when I started thinking...Is it possible to just bolt on vortec heads? Would it be worth it?

I don't remember the whole vortec parts thing but going to a 4 bbl in a 4.3V-6 is good for about 5 mph.

Yea, I posted a thread a good while back asking about upgrades for the 4.3 and you really helped out a lot. I already have IMCO manifolds and risers and I'm planning on getting an edelbrock carb and intake...and maybe doing the camshaft depending on what budget allows for...but i need to make up my mind about the heads before I get the intake.
