Next door to my boat storage business is Derebery Marine. On Tuesday, Daniel brought over one of these new take-off transom assemblies with the inner plate for Bravo drives. I bought it along with a new trim pump for $1300!! They are for all practical purposes brand new. I don't think you will beat this deal anywhere if you need one. He told me they have about 200 or so of them. All the lines, cables, electrical connections, and trim rams are there. He also said he is working on getting them available for packaging to be able to ship them out. Bill

I want one! What else does he have? I'm doing a Bravo conversion.

As I have been (half-seriously or less) pondering the thought of pulling my vdrives and turning my motors around, this sounds dangerously enticing...

Hate to see you do that to an original Nova...but I understand...

Lack of money will probably prevent it anyway. I'm dreamin'.

And even if it doesn't, it's already a resto-mod to a degree, and the original did have a stern drive option. If I put Alphas on it instead of Bravos, it'd look a lot like the old Merc 888s, right? :)

You can call Daniel using the phone number in the craiglist ad to see what else he might have. The transom assemblies are like new and the trim pump he sold to me is brand new - great stuff! Bill

Be a lot cheaper too.

Conquistador, I'll be calling tomorrow.

If any of you guys want to see the one I bought, I could take a picture and post it here. Bill

I guess I got the last take off. He has a new one left for $1500.

Yep, Daniel came by this afternoon with the inner plate that he didn't have with him on Tuesday and told me they are all sold except a brand new one that they are trying to sell for $1500. You have to be quick when good deals come around. I took a picture of the one I bought this afternoon, but I forgot to bring my camera home. I suppose there is not much point in showing it now. Bill

Just in case you can get any more of the Bravo transom assemblies from Daniel, here is what you can expect. I ended up paying $1300 - the new trim pump was the additional $300. Bill

Many thanks for posting this, Bill. Did he have any more inner plates?

No, he brought me an inner plate saying that he wanted to be sure I got one since they were out of them. I think I got the last one.
