Anyone own one of these, I just bought one and I was wondering how fast and would K-Planes make a difference....i.e. would they be worth putting on?

Thanks

Most all will agree that the 22 needs no tab at WOT. All will agree that tabs installed incorrectly will slow you down.

Pictures!

Here are a few more pictures and I agree the color blows my mind as well, what a boat. The guy that I bought it from also bought a Manning trailer for $6800, it is overkill but what a trailer!

Congrats !
Plan on attending on some of the Events and join the fun !
Take your time and learn the Boat well. Shelby's are a lil different animal. Tabs might be an idea in your future depending on how it handles for you.
I have some Vids. on youtube from running my relatives Shelby also. Search Donzi Shelby.
Enjoy!

AOTH in KY in May

Lake George Dust-Off in June is the BIG EVENT (for those of us in the Northeast)

Lake Winnie in July......(big rivalry w/ the LG crowd - even worse than Yanks/BoSox)!

1000 Islands Run sometime too???

Also LG Fall Picnic in Zepptember!

Where in CT are you?

I ran it up to 77 on the water speedo pretty easily 2nd time out. He see's 80 usually, but his boat porpoises a lot and needs some correction at ALL times with tabs. I spoke with the owner of the Matching Shelby of yours and asked of his Boats tendencies and said no problem.
Plan sometime for one of the Events you won"t regret it !

I'm in New Canaan. We do a lot of boating/sailing out of Cedar Point in Westport. The Donzi, however, lives on Lake George - I get to visit it when I'm good.

Welcome to the Registry.

I have a 2007 blue Shelby 22. Boat runs 78MPH on a Livorsi GPS speedo with a 25" Mirage Plus. The boat only porpoises when you over trim the drive. With a 2" higher X dimension you do not need to use any trim on the drive until you really get going. The boat also needed trim indicators on the tabs and the drive, which we installed to make it driveable at high speeds. Why Donzi sells boats with out trim indicators on the tabs and drive is beyond me. It is the quickest boat on this island and we are happy with it. We are saving up for a 525EFI and that should put her into the mid eighties.
