Hey guys I need a 23P Mirage to test on my 18. i currently have a 25p but am not happy with the RPM's I am seeing with it (4300 Max.) If anyone has a prop they'd be willing to lend (and sell if it works) I would love to hear from you.

I would be 100% ok with sending collatteral for it just in case anyone would be worried:)

Thanks,
Ed

I Usually like a Mirage Better than a Mirage Plus on smaller boats. The extra cup of the Plus is good for bigger boats but can bite good enough jerk a smaller boat around.

I sold the boat, still have the prop if ya want to try it. The 16 loved it.... dont know why. What up with the lazer II 25?

OK guys, I just picked up a used prop that looks like it is in excellent condition, could shave with the edge of the thing, and is said to have been for a TRS drive but supposedly will fit a Bravo also. It has 23P stamped on the side along with some other numbers but no brand name or anything. Has a locking washer of some sort along with a spacer and a nut. I assume that it will indeed fit my Bravo One if I choose to try it instead of the Mirage 27p that I am using now. With the 27p I am maxed out at 4,000 to 4,200 rpm. Don't know if I have jumped too far down or not, guess I will have to try it to see. My shop says avoid anything that will take the rpm over 4,900 as even my modified 454 will not like it. Thoughts on this? :cool!:

For longevity of the drive and somewhat of the engine 5,000 is the RPM to shoot for as a max. The drives seem to suffer the most, a well built engine will take a bit more even under the stress of marine use. There are some that push past the margin it gets costly in a hurry!

I run a 23 pitch mirage on my 18'. Should be a good choice for you. I see about 4600 rpm with it.

I recently picked up a 23 pitch cleaver. I get a slightly higher top speed at the same rpm, but the boat handles much better with it. I can turn a lot tighter and more steadily.
