Maybe a dussin of these boats were built in Australia to pretty high standards. Most of them had Yanmar diesels hooked up to the Hamilton Waterjet, but a few (base) boats with 320 hp Mercs were sold too. The boat has many smart practical design solutions, but is re-stricted in that it's got a narrow beam with a constant deadrise of 19 degrees to work with the jetdrive. Doesn't lend itself to great offshore running at speed, like a Fino or Monte-Carlo, but very practical for restaurant hopping (easy docking with the Hamilton Jet) or beaching in shallow waters. At $49K it's got to be a decent buy for someone who does some water-skiing and socializing with plenty of friends onboard. No sleeping quarters under deck, but most have freshwater sink and a marine toilette instead. Cool find! :shades:
