While prop testing with Grizz on the Sat Morning at PK I developed a solid miss.
I was running the piss out out of the boat so it was anyone's guess as to the cause.
Yesterday morning I finally started checking everything out. I noticed an outward facing dent on my stbd valve cover. upon further inspection a keeper had backed off which allowed a pushrod to start beating the hell out of the lifter which broke it. The rocker was lying loose on the head. We managed to find all the pieces of the lifter under the intake and got them all out with a magnet.
All that is left is putting in a new lifter, push rod, JB weld the inside of the valve cover, and setting all the valves.
Could have been a lot worse.
