Oops...Guess that expression does'nt make much sense unless you went through the British school system in the '60s and '70s..
Here's the scoop.
I know you bouys and gulls like to catalogue and record things... old records etc so I want you to know that I have a few old Donzi brochures that it makes no sense me keeping any longer.The climate here is very harsh on this kind of stuff. I will, at my expense, send them to anyone interested.Here is a rough description of the items up for grabs !
One large 1988 Donzi Portfolio (like a magazine)I think this was Dick and Gordon's first brochure after they bought out Donzi.
One 1988 fleet brochure.. this folds out to be quite large but has no 'pages' per se.
One 1989 brochure.. this is a 3 page folding leaflet, very colourfull
One 1988 Donzi Dudz portfolio..they made a TON of nice accessories back then.Along with all the other lovely models this also contains some shots of the bubblelicious Cathy Genth :cool:
One excerpt from Power and Motoryacht (Feb 1986) on what was going on at the New Donzi.
One May 1989 "Boating Industry" magazine with an extensive writeup on the takeover of Donzi.. interviews etc..
And lastly, a coveted 1984 Donzi brochure.. this is the one that has John Chisholm sitting in a Criterion II as the last model in the lineup.
This is still in the original franked envelope revealing Capt.Morgans identity and the location of his pirate lair !
I also have my original St Tropez leaflet (which shows a RED boat.. not the BLUE one) which I will make photocopies (colour) of and send to anyone interested ( I expect 2 prospective enquiries !)
Just let me know where to send them and they're on their way !
