Silverton 31 Convertable.

After a 2 year search for just the right replacement for our beloved SeaRay DA250 we are the proud owners of a Silverton '94 31C. 400 hour 350XL Crusaders, AC/Heat, no gen. Boat surveyed well. Engine compression test was like new. Sea trialed great. (Broke down 20 minutes into our first run but that's a story for another day...)

She is in Verplanck, NY on the lower Hudson awaiting completion of repairs. Should be ready to run by the end of next week I hope.:crossfing: It's somewhere around a 250 mile trip. Should be interesting this late in the season... If you are along the way let me know. I may need a land based friend. One way truck rentals are a b!tch...

Great boat. We had a '79 31 that my parents cruised all over. One summer they took it from Ottawa to Montreal to Lake Champlain to Lake Ontario to the St.Lawrence then home. Lots of room, and w/ twin 318 it moved on plane fairly well....

I did BTV to Montreal in '67 for the world's fair and again in '68 with my parents. The boat was destroyed in mid '69... I was too young to appreciate the significance at the time... I do have the pennant/burgee from Expo '67 though. (There is a great photo of the recovery of the flag...) I remember my uncle buying it and swearing me to secrecy to what he paid for it. I never told...

Drive it right on up the Hudson River, turn right at the sign to get to the Champlain Canal. From there you can't hardly miss it. Took that photo a couple years ago from my SeaRay. We went left for a couple weeks that time...
