Lou, this is YOUR boat you have been looking for. Go get it, before I pick up the phone. I have to be in Vegas in a few days, it sure would be easy to go on over to California & grab this one. Hurry, mmmwWWAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!

EVIL SUPER PICKER, OUT! Jasper Taladega

PS for the rest of my DONZI REGISTRY MEMBERS Friends out there. Not that I need to give my Business philosiphy out, as it is really no ones business but my own. But I wanted you to know that I try my level best to give everyone on the registry a fair shake as far as time to go after a Donzi for sale by a member and listed here on the forum. I think that only fair. If I have a customer that wants a particular boat here I will make inquiries about it on the forum where members can see that I am inquiring and if they want it, they better get off their butts and go get it, but if it is a Craigslist, or any other form of advertising "NOT MY BOAT" ad, then I go for it without concern of feelings unless like this example where Lou let me know what he was looking for & I have been keeping a friendly not a financial eye out for him, and him being on the west coast, he or I will kill any great deals with the extensive cost to transport boats to him all the way out there. So this one was perfect for another Donzi Member out in the west. GO GET IT LOU!

Just got to the storage yard. Waiting for the owner to meet us. Can see the boat from the street.... It's chaulky on the hillsides, waiting to see it up close in anything other then street lamp.

CaribouLou

It's faded. Who knows how saveable it really is. I'd post pics but I'm on my phone

My trip was only 1400 miles. And I believe they are ALL save-able, but some require exponentially more work to get the job done. Ask Sweet Cheekz .

Please keep us posted.

welcome to the WAFNC club :shades:

You win. What's WAFNC? You can PM me if it's "naughty."

I should be working on my restoration anyway.

"Dusty" again.

Lou you beat me to the punch on reporting, only known to a few I was in second place on this thing. Don Mr. zelatore was assisting, just got a call from Don on the condition that Lou reported to him. I'll sit this one out unless it goes very cheap!

:( That sucks. It looks beautiful in the pics. Can you take pics? The ad says "as close to new as can be". If he took you on a 1,500 mile wild goose chase I would expose him on the www. :(

Just had a nice chat with a very tired CaribouLou, he may still end up with the boat. The owner has to cave in on his number big time to be realistic, Lou has the right ideas about the boat. He should let us all know how it comes out soon!

Looks like a good deal to me. Nice work!

Congratulations Lou.

If it runs, you just got a 1990 22 for the same price I paid for a 1967 16. And hopefully YOU won't have to pull the deck, pull the engine, replace the stringers, replace the back seat, replace the dash, and repaint it.

I can't wait to see pictures of this "as close to new as possible 22."

Miike and I are on hour 42 of being awake... Northbound 130 miles south of Oregon, cruise set at a blazing 55 mph (thanks kommiefornia) in the diesel. Boat needs work forsure, but will fit my needs perfectly. Gives me something to tinker with over the next few weeks. Post an email addy and I'll send a few iPhone pics for others to post. Jesus I'm tired.

Hehe, I did that when I went to Tennessee to get my motor. Try to get some power naps at the rest stops. It's amazing what 20 minutes of rest can do. Good luck getting her home. Remember, there is no more hurry.

You guys are total one uppers.

But I'm still driving. Took over and let miike go back to sleep 100 miles into Oregon, hit nasty construction/UFC 102 traffic in portland, and am just barely 50 miles into Wa. I'm in 100% pure zombie mode, did take an hour nap in there though, helped a ton. Hadn't slept since the 6 hrs I got thurs night.

I've now officially been up since Friday @ 730 am... I just looked at what's attached to my truck while fueling up.... I am a idiot, I just bought a boat with 2 weeks of weather left if I'm lucky.

I also started seeing crazy stuff on the freeway happening. Thank god were in Tacoma, will be home within an hour or so.
