A super shame! There is one out here that comes out of hiding for special events, could be its brother!

Does this wreck remind anyone else of the Ferrari Enzo that got cut in two about 20' in the air by a pole in Malibu maybe a year ago?
It was being driven by a guy that didn't own it and the car was an illegal import and not liscensed to be driven on public roads. It was estimated it was going 160 when it took off over the crest of a hill.

Yes, I vaguely remember that and it does.

I hope folks were okay but it looks like a really bad one.

I suspect that it was not as fast as someone surmised on that thread on the linked site. I have seen a '73 Mercury that hit a tree quite a bit wider than a telephone pole, and the trunk went way into the engine compartment at only about a 25 or 30 mph impact. I bet 45 or 50 would have been enough to do the damage in the pictures. Scary.

on another chatboard the driver confirmed 75+ and no skid marks...

Wow, I'm surprised it wasn't worse. I guess that means he survived though, which is good to hear.

I have a little show quality 1970 Stingray convertible. Silly, but I am so paranoid about some one hitting it, I very rarely drive it.
