My Donzi came with a Sony Stereo in the cabin and 2 CPS remotes (the white oval-ish ones). One on the dash, one in the bow area. They work just fine. I'd really like to add one more to the swim platform area, probably on the starboard side mirroring the shower on the port side.
With that said what is involved with installing a 3rd remote? CPS doesn't seem to make these remotes anymore, can I put a Sony remote in and keep the CPS remotes too? Are they waterproof enough to install in that area of the boat? I read the Sony instructions and they are very contradictory. In one part of the instructions it says to keep away from direct sunlight (on a freaking boat?) and any constant source of water. In another it says they are waterproof to 3 feet.
