Alpha & Bravo outdrives?

1. Can anyone tell me if the Bravo is better than the Alpha out-drive, and why?

They still make both, there have been upgrades but still basically the same. Usage depends on power and boat weight.

They came out with the Bravo in 1987. Some big blocks were still mated to an Alpha drive. They were labeled as a 454 Magnum drive. They only had different stickers.

Bravo---stronger!

Two things to consider, how much hp is going through it now, and how much hp do you plan on running through it eventually.
