My coolant is a little low and I need to add some. I have been told that the coolant in it is red/pink dexcool. I cannot fine this anywhere. I did find orange dexcool and yellow. Also found dexcool organge 50/50. I just need to add a little. Suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

If you need a pint or a quart, just add some RO or DI water to top it up. Thhe amount of dilution will be negligable.

Don't they all mix anyway? It seems all you get now is the orange stuff; I haven't seen green anti-freeze in quite a while.

Do yourself a favor!!! Spring for genuine GM or Ford antifreeze they are both formulated to protect both aluminum and iron which you also have both in your system. You only need one gallon and it lasts three years, you will have guaranteed protection. Anti freeze like oil is not worth Chintzing on, our toys are to expensive to fix and some fun to play with!

I just need to add a little should I use the 5050 dexcool or the full strength?

The Dexcool is fine at 50/50, the old style antifreeze was a problem at 50/50 it caused quite a few over heats almost all manufacturers sent out TOC's to reduce it to 30% for the running season.

Prestone has a mix with anything and is an aluminum anti oxident too and is just as good as Ford and GM. I just talked to one of my Honda friends doing some tests and it is as good as any and mixes well with all typs and gives the same protection.

I think they all have had aluminum protection for quite a while now.
