Blower with an Alpha drive

I own a 1987 Z-25. It has a 454 Mag and an Alpha Drive. Was going to put a 177 Blower on the engine. I know that ill probably have to change to a Brovo drive. But any ideas on how long the Alpha might hold? Or will i have maybe other problems?

The alpha is NOT the drive of choice & will probably not last too long at all. Alphas, also the more power & torque you put to them the harder they can be to shift. The Bravo is the better way to go for sure. If you need a price on one feel free to give me a shout during the week. :) Jamie / Lakeside

how long it holds sorta depends what condition it is in now. I don't hold out hope for a long life though
