Looked at few of these before I finally bought my 26' Corsa. The boat you've listed looks really nice; it's elegant with contrast of the dark hull color and the white decks, but in the water, she'll shrink to nothing due to the less than 7' beam AND dark hull. $7k is rich in my book for a blank hull, but then again, the spray job, if properly and professionally done, is a $3500 job by itself.

Should make someone a nice project! I added pics from the Craigslist ad, and the link to the ad itself is http://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/boa/1309880684.html

Have you ever measured your 26' Corsa? We measured one once and got 24 1/2' I'd like to know what yours is.......

The Corsa was actually sold as an "8 Meter SS" (I believe) which would make it 26'3". Although, I believe that the actual measurement is something like 25'8" if memory serves me. I think I can find out fairly easily, one of the guys on OSO had an original brochure that I'm trying to get a copy of, and I still speak to Bob Bower, the owner of Corsa, from time to time.

Whatever length it is, the boat is a rough water animal. Bob told me that he splashed the bottom from either a 27' Magnum or 28' Cigarette (I cannot remember which) and then tweaked it a little. I think Harry Schoell may have had something to do with the process as well, but my memory is fuzzy.

Moral of the story, it's a fantastic boat.

I Raced the Former HogsBreath Corsa for two years I KNOW What a rough water animal it is...I Have had the Driver (who was in the middle bolster seat) go out of the boat "Twice" The biggest competition for the Corsa is that 24' Carrera, It Too is a Great Rough water boat...
