Any interest in an E Drive lower? It came off of my '72 18. The case in near perfect shape. The drive gears have several chipped teeth (none are totally missing).
I couldn't find the ratio stamped on it, so I counted the teeth (21-15). That makes an even 1.4 ratio. I'll work on getting some pics later today.

Pics. The discoloration on the output area of the case is burnt paint from heating it up, its not corrosion.

It will need gears and shafts, it had a bronze prop on it which was not real tight that causing it to lose electrical contact which caused electrolysis which burned the shaft. Parts are available, new only in Sweden with a bit of a hassle. Now all that bad stuff being said redoing the drive will still be a ton cheaper then adding the HP needed to achieve the same top end results, remember the adage it $1,000 per mile an hour in the engine. The drive can easily make more speed for 1/3 the price.

Will this lower attach to a 280 tt drive????

I'm not much of a drive guru at all, so I can't answer that. Any help out there?

I do however have the upper to it as well as the whole transom assembly. It just has another volvo lower bolted to it right now. I will try to get details from the rest of the pieces this weekend. Its in my fathers shed.
