Opinions/thoughts 292 Fastech

I have been considering this boat for awhile, going to drive it next weekend.
Anybody have any experience/thoughts to share I would appreciate it.
Is it really that different from a standard 292?

First off, the "Fastech" is the newer twin stepped hull, and is totally different from the classic 292 SR1. The Fastech is actually about 27ft plus the swim platform area and only comes with twin small blocks. The original 292 was a real 29'2" plus the platform and came with big blocks only.

Do a search on Offshoreonly's Formula forum, lot more insight there. But from what I've read, it seems to be difficult to plane and doesn't like slow planing speeds. From what I've read, a classic 272 SR1 would be better.
