Anyone ever buy a cover from Overtons, West Marine or the like? I'm looking for something that will fit a 16...

For my 16, I use a $35 True Value plastic heavy duty tarp, with some cotton cord, and it does a great job. Not sure I would drive at 50 MPH with it on, but for my money, it works great.

i picked up a generic sport boat cover at Gander Mtn sport store it was onsale for like $50 it had elastic cord in the bottom and fit on the 16 quite nicely it was for 16-17 foot sport boats and it was big enough to cover the outdrive even when it was up

i like the idea a something semi-custom fitted...i did the tarp thing wiht my superboat when i was working on it, and that was a real pain...

Menards has a really nice one for 69.00, its even has a rubberized water shield molded inside of the cover so it wont seep water through..

I had insider info...I had posted in the thread a couple weeks ago. I used the search feature to find it again, though.

I think I'm going to pick up another one at the end of the season if I can find one on clearance. It would be nice to have a fresh one to put on next spring.

ok...it took 2 tries, but here is the cover that I bought and it fits perfectly...as near to custom as you can get and the material is a good weight... This cover would have cost me at least 1k if i were to have it done locally by Mills, P&G Canvas or Hudson...

For the record, the cover below is better, but does not fit...it is too short...and Overton's no longer carries the 17.5" version of the Titan...shame.

... did some searching and all of the covers recommended here are discontinued or sold out.

Has anyone found one that fits decently?

I found a website "discountboatcover.com" and they have a semi-custom cover for $175. Anyone have any experience with their "poly-guard supreme" boat covers? I'm wondering how the fit and quality is.

I have one of these for my 22. It will not stop rainwater from getting in the boat. I have to place a poly construction tarp under this cover but over the passenger and engine area to keep it dry inside. Of course this procedure doesn´t let the boat "breathe". I must be sure to uncover the boat often enough to prevent moisture build-up. it does, however, keep the sun off fairly well. I did express my dissatisfaction to discountboatcover and all they could say was that I must be doing something wrong.
