I am going to put my 1971 - 18 Clasic 2+3 on the market.
I have used it once this year and about three times last year.
The boat is a culmination of 3 years in restoration/design and development.
My goal was not to do a period correct restoration, but one that would respect the intent of the original design and in my own opinion, expand on it.
You can see most of the progress photos in my album and for serious interested parties I will forward more.

Like most I watched the build only the very best went into it, who every ends up with will be getting the finest 18 available and cheap compared to recreating the same! Gene I sure hate to see you let it go at such a big loss!

.......or, call the Harbormaster @ 713 898 0605, great guy to shoot the chit with.

or an email to scot@donzi.net.

I would imagine it's quite challenging to monitor every single thread for members having trouble accessing certain areas of the site.

Give him a shout, pretend you're talking to The Wizard of Oz.:kingme:

This is a choice that most people don't get to make since Bayliners' advertising budget is slightly larger than most donzi.net member's. Eugene I will always remember Your Magnum and now You're offering this beauty to the public too. This is charity at it's best. What an amazing little boat!

P.S. In case somebody is still considering the Bayliner, here's some info.

4.3L MPI MerCruiser® Alpha I, 220 HP.
Price**: $29,224.00
Freight Charges: $1,486.00
Price does not include Destination Charge, Optional Trailer Freight Surcharge, Fuel Surcharge, Dealer Preparation, Transportation, Registration or Taxes.

I believe he keeps the boat at one of the lakes just north of SanFran. Clear Lake maybe?

I have been out of the country and away from the board for some time.
The boat will be coming out of storage soon but as with the last few years I will be looking at it more than using it. Although, that's not so bad.
The boat will be for sale at the price in the add which I am firm on. It cost close to double that to do the work on it, not including my own time to develop & manage the restoration.
Please, if you just want info for curiosity let me know. I will be more than happy to share anything that I have. You need not pretend you are an interested buyer.
To all interested buyers, the boat is located at my house on Clear Lake in Northern California. I can show it there but will not bring it to San Francisco Bay to demo it. At this point, I want to leave it salt water free.

E-mail me for photos or any other info: nahemow@pacbell.net

That boat is far too special to be allowed to go to a salt water user :)

That is a DEAL and I would drive all the way to Cali to get it. That is a good bit more turned out than my X-18 and I have a good bit over 30 in mine.

It's very simple.
I have previously stated in the add: Anyone who is "serious" or just wants to see a restoration zip photo file can e-mail me.
In the add is my e-mail address.

If they are on the site and can post, they have a computer.

I have posted my boat here because I respect this site. It is not advertised anywhere else.
I didn't make the rules of the site and also respect Scott for what he has developed here over the years. He doesn't ask for an amount yearly. He only asks for a donation to use all parts of the site.
His site. His rules.

Once again, e-mail is: nahemow@pacbell.net

I had many inquiries with most being East of the Rockies.
It seems that everyone is concerned with shipping.
I bought this hull from the tip of Cape Cod and had it shipped back to California.
I couldn't have gotten one any further to bring back to California.

Hallo there Eugene,
saw that You might have this little favorite of Ours maybe heading north of the border. If she's still around, I guess this is a little bump, even though I have a feeling that this gorgeous Lady doesn't really need one

Well, my Donzi is at it's new home in Toronto Canada.
New owner is a great guy and a pleasure to do business with.
The logistics and shipping went incredibly smooth and he was extremely happy when he opened his package.

Now all I have to do is sell the tandem axle trailer that I had painted to match. :bonk:

Congratulations on Your sale Eugene, even though You must have had mixed feelings when she left. Hope the new owner joins the forum and keep us up to date on the classic Donzi boats around the 'Golden Horseshoe'.

P.S. There's a reason the trailer stayed behind Eugene. Another project calling out to You will be on the horizon before You can do anything about it. Do You run a boat at all at the moment? D.S.

Lars,
I have a 14' Whaler at our lake house that scoots me around and a S-2 sailboat that I keep berthed in Sausalito. :boat:
Not looking for anything else at the moment.
I am trying to slow down my personal project load.
I do miss the rumble of the Magnum though.
