Top Fuel is back in N.C.

High Point North Carolina is once again hosting boat drags at Oak Hollow Lake.

Classes range from river boats to the big boys pumping 8000 hp. I first went to this event in 1980 and didn't miss a year until they moved the show to Alabama in 2002.

If you're in the neighborhood and want to see 260 mph liquid quarter miles, I'll see you there !

My first date with Donzi Deb was to a drag boat race. The top fuel boats were killer. I was recovering from a motorcycle wreak and could barely walk from the parking lot to the spectator area. About 26 years back.

All I have to say is WOW !
Saw a few passes over 240 - several over 250 mph. Fast run of the weekend was 258.6 mph @ 4.6 sec. ET.
