Z21 reborn

Hey guys i thought you might want to see what i have been doing the last couple months. I bought my z21 at the end of season last year and finally got a start redoing it a couple of months ago. All of the body and paint work was done by myself and my brother. I have begun work on interior right now and should have it completed in a week or two. Let me know what you guys think about what i have done so far, But keep in mind this is my first boat paint job. hahaha !!! First pic is how i brought it home and second is what i have now.

Very nice! I particularly like the black to blue transition around the cockpit/aft upper hull sides.

Just curious, did you paint on the 'DONZI' and the 'D-21', or are they vinyl? Strictly my personal taste, but I think it might look cleaner without them.

Or course, I usually prefer simple paint schemes, so don't take that the wrong way. It looks pretty darn good either way!

Everything is painted on. And will be pushed by a 383 stroker just hoping the alpha 1 holds for a little while.

Did you check the stringers ,they are usually rotted on that model boat:)

I like it. I'm glad you kept it yellow. Also, I like the lettering and putting the DONZI on the bow reading down instead of across was a nice touch.

As far as the rub rail and all ss has been highly polished, But not for sure if i am liking the rub rail polished yet will post somemore pics tomorrow.

Goose, welcome to the board. You do good work. Looks like you took and old much over looked boat and brought it up to the level it should have been at the design of it. Donzi never pushed it hard. So it can be made into a sweet looking piece.
