Coming to a lake near you.

We are heading up to Chattanooga tonight to begin the cruise to Wilson Lake. We will hit Nickajack, Guntersville, Wheeler and Wilson.

The forecast calls for foolish behavior, stupid human tricks and uncalled for antics!

That reminds me of the old Don Q race boat. I always liked that boat for some reason.

Hope you guys have a blast... try not to break the sound barrier while running your boats :)

This is a nice place.

Oh Yeah, nobody told me that Wheeler was HUGE.

No, but we are heading back to Lake Wilson to show them what a tender is supposed to resemble. Think nice quiet setting, Spaulding getting hazed and a 900 hp Donzi firing up in the background!

We have some great pics. I will post them when I get back to the home office.

Unless Tex wants to post a few. He is probably too busy looking for a cruiser right now

Definitely a Huckins.

I've been day-dreaming about one of those long enough to know...

As for the 'nice rollers' - hey, looks like a normal afternoon on the bay out here. :bonk:

The tennTom to Mobile river....

Exactly. That's part of what my parents did for their honeymoon trip: Evansville, IN to the gulf and back in a home-made 21' plywood cuddy cabin with a 60 hp 'Rude on the back

Google 'great loop cruising' for more info.

That trip's on my list for 'someday' along with the inside passage.

Someday....

Ahh, the loop. We get lot's of loop cruisers in these parts.

I would like to do the loop one day. It will be a while. I have a few dock neighbors that go down to Tampa and the Keys. It takes some pretty good time on your hands to make that turn north and keep going. Heck, I would love to have the time to make it over to hit Ky Lake and the Land Between the Lakes area.

After the boat comes back, my next destination will be to head north to Knoxville. I will be flying the Bama flag proud and will need a Tn ally, Donzi Vol, are you in?

I'd suggest lowering the flag as you come into Knoxville - just sayin'

Heck, I would love to have the time to make it over to hit Ky Lake and the Land Between the Lakes area.

Man, I practically LIVED in the LBL as a kid growing up in the late 70's and early 80's. We lived near Evansville, IN, but my grandfather had a shop in Cadiz, KY. We used to go down and camp at either Devil's Elbow on Barkley, or more often Pisgah (?) Bay on Kentucky - right near the Rock Quarry.

Then I got older, started driving, got a part-time job, and quite doing stuff with the family. I've only been back a couple times since. Last time I came out of Green Turtle Bay where my Aunt had a boat dry-stored. Even that was at least 10 years ago.

BTW, if you drive an Alfa Spider through the buffalo preserve in the LBL, you'll scare the heck out of your girlfriend when she realizes just how much bigger those buffalos are than the little open-top Alfa. :shades:
