I have an A/C unit that goes in your hatch that came with my boat. The guy said that he paid 1,000 bucks for it. I will sale it for $200 plus shipping at the UPS store. He said that he had only used it a couple of times and I have never used it. I think that the brand name is Carry-On.

I may be interested. Do you have any photos or a model number so I can do my homework? What is your best guess on weight? What ZIP code is "Back in the Saddle" in?

Thanks,
Frank

39601 on the Zip. I will have to get my wife to take a few pictures and get the model number off it. It is not light. It has a handle mode into one side to carry it out tot he dock with. I will get the weight and all the other info tomorrow and post it here. Thanks for the interest!!

Cool, thanks! We are doing a survey on "Number Seven" tomorrow and if all goes well I may need it. Not sure if I want to go portable or built in at this point but the price is right. Won't know if I could even use it 'till the weekend at least. I'll likely be off-line 'till then with the whole selling/surveying/buying/etc. thing. If ya could plug it in and see if it blows cold that would help...

Thanks,
Frank

I'm betting it looks a little like this.

Note it needs 7 amps at 120V - so you'll need a gen to run it away from the dock.

Still, waaaaay cheaper than installing a full reverse-cycle unit.

That is it!! I am not sure about that bag looking part though. Like I said...I have never gotten to use it!

My wife plugged in the Air Conditioner and it does blow cold. It weighs 65 pounds. Here is some model info on it.

Makes a 30 Searay real cool on a hot day! I think 5000 is under rated!

My wife took some pictures for me. I had never really looked at the thing before. It has been in my shop since the day that I brought the boat home. She said that it fired up and really blows cold though.

That's a really good deal. My survey crashed and burned before we got anywhere near the water so at this point I have no need. I'm hoping that will change...

Thanks for all the info and photos.

wet coring?

Bummer - but better to be out a couple hundred bucks for a surveyor than thousands for unexpected repairs.

Rotted bulkhead just ahead of the motors. 2 independent $8k + discovery estimates... I'll PM you the gory details as soon as I can bring myself to do it...

Well Brian's hatch is only 10 inches wide and Penbroke did not get his boat so the A/C is still for sale.

Unbelievably, the A/C arrived late yesterday afternoon at my house - 2 days! I just wanted to let everyone here know how great it was to deal with Keith. I unpacked and ran it last night - it will make a great unit for working on my Magnum and upcoming Cigarette cabins. Thanks, Bill
