I have a 94 model and think the fuel tank is leaking. I have checked the filler hose and vent hose with no leaks, the top of he tank looks fine as well as the fuel hose from the tank to the seperator to the pump. Has anyone else had to replace a tank? Cost? info? thanks

I think in those days, some tanks were aluminum and some poly.
Which do you have?

Ethanol is bad for rubber gaskets. Check the sending unit gasket.

If you have aluminum and need to have one made please post about it, I know there is a few people in need also, I'm sure you all can get a better deal if you get together.

It's aluminum.......What kind of price are you thinking on a new tank? Do you have to pull the whole cap off to replace it? detach the front ski storage area and remove that part and slide forward and out from there? Is it normal for the tank to go? I don't have any rust in the fuel seperator or in the bottom of the boat? any other ideas?

Thanks

Don't tear up your cockpit glass. It's actually easy to remove the deck and do it properly.
Here's a thread about putting a tank in a much older 18

There's a company here in Florida called RDS that made most of the Donzi aluminum tanks.
There's also an RDS drawing of the 41 gallon tank used for the 18 and the Minx around here somewhere.
Ah, here it is;

Last I heard it's about $500.00.
