Sad news they were one of the resorts that was a favorite of people attending our events, good news that there were no loss of life.
we hope they can rebuild and get back on their feet quickly

Wow....

Matty, what building was it? It looks like one of the bigger cabins closer to the water, away from TC. Does that make sense?

Fast Eddie sent me a note earlier today.

I stayed in that part of the hotel the last few years I was there.

Cool building, and just a few yards from the infamous boat house.

I hope they re-build. Great people run the place.

You know, what doesn't surprise me is... when we were there, 2008, ( and Dr. Dan and Todd et all,) the maids were smokers, and on one occasion, they emptied an ashtray into a garbage can and YES, there was a small smouldering fire that Deneen and I put out. That was on the deck closest to the dock from the corner suite. Could be a similar event...

The fire was caused by kitchen fire in an Indian(India) families room. My good friends cousin ownes the resort. We had a discussion about it on Sunday @ the Boathouse Resturant. Many old building on Lake George are tinder boxes just waiting to go up quick...that buliding went up and was gone b4 the fire depts could do anything...they just kept the water on the propane tanks to keep from exploding.....very sad to see...it was only the main yellow building...they will rebuild...and yes...the fine Dr's covered boat slip was unharmed..:)
