The batteries are toast in the ZXO. Donzi is picking up the bill for new ones... will Optima's fit in the stock battery boxes? They are Stainless framed open boxes.

They have a deal at my local Costco, nearly the same price as regular marine batteries so I figure I'd get them instead of the cheapies and pay the difference.

My D31M Optimas did not fit the stainless steel boxes that came from Donzi. They were close but I believe the top bracket was too small.

It might work though if you go with the 34's.

I don't want to buy anything for it, my wife will have my balls if I do... part of the deal is no tinkering on this boat.

If there are fitment issues I'll just get the interstates again. that is what is in there now.

Don't get cranked up on the Optimas as noted in another post they are not what they use do to be, you will be buying name not QUALITY!

Johnson Controls still makes the real Optima batteries. I would avoid buying one of the copy batteries that doesn't have the Optima name. Also Optima currently has a $25 rebate available for their batteries.

uh-huh. And you're selling the Minx?

Any takers on how long the 'no tinkering' lasts?

I say you don't make it through the season.

BTW, I've got a couple Optimas in Stainless Marine boxes I got from Poodle. Not a perfect fit, but they work.
