And fortunately it is not her suitcase...

She is planning on getting her carry permit so I thought a new "heater" was in order. Kel Tec 380 P-3AT. Fortunately the dealer had a box of ammo to go with it. 380 ammo is "scarce as hen's teeth." I have called around town and there is none to be had.

When I Get back to TN I'll have to get a pic of the wifes "Pink" .38 special. She has a Stainless Tauraus .38 next to the bed (Her side, I have a bigger one on my side) and the Pink one in her purse.

Nice Tim... I STILL haven't got my CL, but I picked up the PF-9 when they hit the market a few years ago... Had to wait several months to find one in stock. 9mm and 0.88" thick at its widest... quite impressive for the price.

Lightweights..

Heidi's favorite :) :)

I'm a Colt man myself... Hard to find a smoother action than the D- or I-frame revolvers...

Yeah, the 380 is at the bottom end of the power you would want, but the ability to carry it anywhere has big benefits. Its smaller than my wallet - just disappears in your front pants pocket.

Well she was carrying this one, but felt it gave her an unfair advantage over the bad guys...

My brother in law keeps that kel tec 380 in his back pocket with a wallet holster. He also carries a glock 40.

I like the kel tec, but it's small for my hands and I'm a bit uncomfortable shooting it. I carry a .45 Taurus Millennium Pro.

:nilly: I certainly wouldn't want Deb pointing that at me! Something tells me she wouldn't hesitate to use it

By the title of the thread I was certain that you had finally pissed Deb off and she was heading out. Glad to see that's not the situation. Now as for the pistol, that's cool stuff. I'm still saving up for my glock 40 cal. After that I feel as though I need a 357 mag. Who doesn't?!

Carry a Colt Officers 45 ACP, then a Ruger SP 101; 5 shot .357, then a Colt Mustang .380 (which is a delightful little gun).

I have a Kel Tec P-11. The 9 was too narrow for my hand.

Nice little gun.

My carry piece is a P3AT. Take your wife to the range and work with her. If you don't maintain a firm grip (no limp wrist) it will not eject and jam. It is not a fun piece to shoot, but is very easy to conceal and carry. She just needs to know what to expect. With Federal Hydroshocks it is a very effective defense piece. I have heard it all about the .380 being weak, but the P3AT in my pocket beats the hell out of the Mossey 500 in my safe at home if the poop hits the fan.

The P3AT is a nice piece for the price. Check out the Kahr PM9 if you can carry something a little large. Here's the latest addition to the safe....now if I can only find some 45ACP range ammo...

I really like the Kahrs - my carry piece is the CW40 (.40 cal S&W). Being a single stack is is very thin. I added the "ClipDraw" clip for easy IWB carry with no holster.

NIce piece.. :) I bought my wife the same model for her to carry..

I carry a 40 smith tactical ed.. Which I have had for years.. I thought it a little more realistic to carry than a 44 auto mag... lol :D Jamie

Good looking Kahr! Any drawbacks on the clipdraw? Never hard any issues with PM9 other than it didn't work as a carry gun for how I dress 98% of the time and I don't keep any non-carry guns in anything less than 45ACP. Looks like Kahr just came out w/ a 380 a little smaller than the KEL-TEC and I always wanted to check out their small 45 so maybe there's another Kahr in my future....

The Clipdraw works great. On the Kahr, it is attached with a "space-age" double-sided tape. The clip isn't going to come off without the use of a knife / scrapper and stays secure to your pants.

I also put one on my full size 1911. It is secured to the frame using the grip studs and screws. The clip on it is a little wider.

I bought this same gun for my CCW and Danielle is packing a Walther p-22 in pink of course.
