Seat Base Install

Finally got to work on replacing the seat base (thanks ITTLFLY). Much to my surprise the nuts are under the floor board and are self locking. '97 classic 18...please tell me there is a trick to getting these off and then back on:confused:. This surely can't be a "deck off" repair:shocking:!

Spoke with Harbormaster this morning and we figured out a fix to get me through the summer...then replace the whole mess!
