27' Eliminator Daytona - real speed

So I am talkin to this guy at the sandbar yesterday with this 2005eliminator, pretty boat, and he's tellin' me that with a single 525, 30p labbed prop, he's runnin 90.......does that sound right? He said his gps was broke, and I saw my buddy with a 28' checkmate, single procharged 540 leading the eliminator around the lake like a lost dog. My buddy claims he's runnin around 84-86 with his '02 checkmate. Just curious.

if this is 26 -27 footer...... With a 525...... never gonna happen.......tell him you want some of what he is smokin.... Good example is a Nordic 27 Foot Thor, it will run a bump over 90 with a 525... with a lot of dial in time, but it is a newer design and much lighter....
