I was getting popping occasionally at WOT.

Would an old wire going to the RPM gauge cause a low reading? I could snake a new wire...

I in your last post recommended going over the engine to make sure it was up to snuff! Popping is not good could be fuel or spark, but not right, having a boat is not just turning the key. Everyone must take the time to make sure things are right, that is unless they were blessed with being able to walk on water!

popping though the flame arrestor or ? could be a bad cam,lifter,valve etc etc.
