Word is Donzi (along with Pro-Line) has been sold. Any news on who are the new owners?

Apparently only "the clique" know who the new owners are, but won't tell.

Donzi isn't keeping it a secret, they told me. I'd tell you but I don't remember what the company name is. I remember it's out of S. Florida.... I'll find out more details on Monday. I didn't want to piss on anyone's Wheaties so I directly asked if it was ok to talk about the info they gave me and they said the information was not announced yet, but they didn't care I talked about it.

Maybe it would be good if they did.

I am not spreading rumor, I am looking for factual information.

I heard at the NYC Poker Run that Donzi (actually the parent company of) got taken over by the bank and that all the people there are now gone.
Is this just a rumor or is part/all of this true.

Or, out of respect for the company, they are letting Donzi make an announcement..
If one is actually needed...

;) At least thats my path.. ;) Jamie

Donzi is sold and we are waiting for the new company to issue a press release/statement.

If the new owners drop the classic line (which I doubt) it could make those classics slightly more valuable - however, if it gets "cheapened" by the new owners, we all lose. Imagine ROlex or any "brand" that has value used to sell more while lowering their standards for the sake of price. Then no one wants them.

However I am pretty sure the buyer would know that what he is buying is the carefully crafted "brand" of DONZI. God I hope so.

I read on the "other" site that Donzi was sold for 10 million. I hate to spread a rumor, but this other site also said, the new owners plan to get rid of the 16 and 18 classics - So, if that is true, I stand corrected from my earlier message - That will make the 16' and 18' become instant classics and very valuable, just as the early corvettes are.

I just had breakfast w/the friend that has the connection to Donzi.....he told me it's a simple case of an investor bringing in cash and that not much will change.

It's all very confusing to me. I hope it becomes clearer soon.
