rewiring a marinco pigtale with a new male end what colors go to which part of plug have 1green 1 black 1 white to a 30 amp plug male what wires go where 1 L shaped plug TIP and 2 with blades in same direction

Heck, I thought marinco stuff was color coded.

On a male 30A/125V plug the keyed (L-shaped) pin is the ground - green
Next clockwise is the hot - black
Last closkwise is the neutral - white

Marinco also has this info on their website if you dig around a bit.

To add a little clarity refer to page #6 in the Marinco link below, two different bent tangs can be confusing to some!

Page 13 might be a little easier. You have diagrams of both the male and female connectors. Yes, this would be with the unit facing you, so you'd have to reverse it when you attach the wires to the back.

Sorry I couldn't copy and paste a link last night - I was working from my good old i-phone and Apple has yet to master that particular technology. :garfield:

Jim having worked in the biz like you I have seen way to many burned plugs/outlets, a little clarity never hurts.

you should see the sparks around owner/electrician RV parks... :eek: ie: insert 50 amp receptacle where there was a 30 amp before...
