SBC 383, 9.7 comp, prem. fuel w/ alum. heads and 180 stat w/ closed cooling. Plugs are NGK heat #6 (-hot and + colder). Base ring on five plugs have clean areas on them which I don't understand. # 4 appears to be the only one firing half way good, maybe a little hot. What do you guys think?

tm, index a new set of with a sharpie where the shiny part of the ring is, go out and run it and see if the shiny part is in the same spot of the old plugs..i believe its from carbon build up when the exhaust is on its way out of the head..

welp, 4-3-6 look the same and they are in consecutive mid-block firing patterns... hmmm

injected or carb?

I can't see down to the bottom of the porcelain for a true firing ring, nor can I see the timing strap position, so i'm gonna have to reserve a further opinion..
