When you realise that his boats are nothing more than flat bottomed skiffs
suited for use on his local pond it makes our old classics seem to have lot of potential eh ?

I looked at the one he came here with and I doubt that they could have even sat down in the thing anywhere much less had a quick snooze .

All I can guess is that they must be masters at weather forecasts because out in the open ocean it wouldn't take much to swamp one of them !

I once got into a rather heated discussion w/my father-in-law about rowing across the Atlantic.
He said it couldn't be done!
(Never say never, right?)
I checked into it and if I remember correctly, it had been done several times before 1900 and a total of 35 or so times.
I guess you'd have to conclude it's not all that difficult.
Not that I'd try it.
