I have a friend who would like to get into a boat of mine, in exchange for his 1967 C10 p/u. His is a stepside, it has the original straight six in it and three on the tree, no PS. It has about 14,000 original miles on it. It was used as a runway vehicle at an Air Force base about 100 miles north of me and was never on the street ( until my buddy bought it. ) He has had it in relative storage for the past 25 years. It is original black, and lots of it. Black inside too.

Extremely good shape. Basically MINT.

What would it be worth? ... about. Everything works but "everything" is pretty minimal mind you...

I'll give you $1.95

OK, I have no idea. In it's current form I don't think many people would have a big interest. But it's a really popular body style to make a nice little hot rod out of. Probably Chevy's best looking truck, although I prefer the straight-side bed. And it's certainly an easy project to work on with good aftermarket support.

Drop in a warmed over small block and T350 trans, a 10 or 12 bolt posi rear, lower it a bit, maybe a custom grill, wood bed kit or just a bed cover, a set of nice wide steely's with polished chrome hubcaps and you've got yourself a pretty cool toy for relatively little work/cash.

Lenny, IMO it boils down to how bad he wants your boat.........

What are you asking for the boat and how much is he asking for the truck?

In my experience that type of truck, in the condition you state, is between $6000 to $8000, give or take.

On a serious note, if he wants to sell and you are not overly keen to trade, give me a shout, I would be interested in a cash purchase, if it helps anybody out..........?

------Gas costing what it does today I might be persuaded to leave the six in and get an overdrive set-up. Those 6s will last forever with just a smidgen of maintanence and you will get outrageous MPG with the overdrive. The mileage will be pretty good without the overdrive........Bill S

Bill, the straight 6 w/overdrive might get you great gas mileage, but will it do this ........ :D

C10 should be a 250, I had the panel version same year it had a 250 in it when I got it. I think the 292's were in 3/4 ton and up, I had a worked 292 in a 52 Chev two door after I puked the 320in Jimmy.

Saw what I believe was one in a nearby lot for $5000 - flat black and looked pretty nice.

14,000 miles... dusty and all. What does she look like she is worth. Everything works.

...also comes with a 1970 350 Camaro longblock that hasn't been touched in 25 years, been sitting in the corner.

.10 per lb...

Canadian :D :p

Poodle, our dollar is taking off. There are a number of predictions that we will be trading at $1.25 US ( not $.92 US ) in the near future

Then it is Whitewater time
