Hedge,

this is what we did that weekend a few years back with the Cig guys

we met at a holiday inn outside of cincy on friday have a tailgate party that night then sat morning we took off for a public marina in cincy about 20 minutes away we launched and left the tow vehicles at the marina then headed out on the river ran to the casino 70 miles we stopped and docked that afternoon across from the casino in KY had lunch left the boats the casino picked us up and we spent sat night at the casino, sunday morning over to the marina for breakfast and return back to cincy

not sure if they have the same plan or not but it was a great run we had a blast. we were in IN. the boats were in KY and the tow vehicle was in OH. ;) first time for that

I would highly recomend it to anyone

Sounds fun. Would this be a good run for my X-18? I ran around in Louisville years ago and it was pretty rough. At least rough to take a 70 mile ride.

mattyboy

the run was mostly 20 cigs but the Donzi Midwest crew showed up too so Sam ran his 16 doug L ran his 18 Donzi Chick ran her 18 and Jerry and Byron ran their 22's the water was not that bad it did get a little rough when a barge past but other than that we had the go fast stick held down most of the run the X 18 would be fit right in

after 70 miles getting out of the boat and leaving it at the dock til the next morning was a good thing ;) but it was a ton of fun

Not sure on Tall Stacks. Seems Tall Stacks has some money issues. Either way we will not be boating thru Cincy.

They are starting the run from the restaurant we finished at the last time(Smugglers Cove). Then a nice 60 mile run down towards louisville for lunch(not all the way into Louisville as the plans are today...but they are not in stone yet). After a nice break at lunch we will head back to Smugglers Cove to do whatever. The accomodations are at the Belterra Casino so there will be lots to do.

X-18 will be the boat to bring. The water will be smooth except an occasional barge and our groups wakes.

Cutterswharf is the old Heathers. I had lunch and beers there last week. Good grub! Try the cheeseburger wrap. They have fuel, but I'm not sure about high octane. It's about 14 miles up river from downtown Louisville.
My old Donzi is up in the northeast now, but I am not boatless! Would love to see the group of boats if I'm in town.(Might be duck hunting in Manitoba that week) Sounds like a fun run with only one lock to go thru(Markland):boat:

Sadly gentlemen sweet cheekz has a hurt wing The motor is out, as of last week and is getting a complete rebuild Broken lobes on the cam, out of balance crank, broken valve spring, nicked piston, bad rings, ect. I have been down on power ever since I put it in and finally figured out why 60 hours on a partially hurt motor isn't bad other than 14 hour drive to Lake George so I could drive my car to lunch. :frown:

Aoth is the next outing for sweet cheeks but anyone that cares for a quick spin then is welcome to join me It will be the first apearance at full power so she should scoot. :shades:

My friends, new to him, 1997 22c blew up last Saturday on Torch Lake. A 454mpi with 200 hours. He's really excited about that after he insisted on "stock" Mercury power so he's out too. He will make his first Donzi run at Aoth also. My third friend that was still trying to get a new motor jammed into his 1983 20 Cigarette is still haveing a few issues and will not have it done by next week.
Sadly all three of us are out No boats left to bring Have a great time boys. See you in the spring

Me
Jerry Eisele
Roadtripper
Hotshot Mick

Man...this is the first I have seen Micks boat in person. Abolutely stunning!

Todds boat and refreshed 500:wink: were looking, sounding and running great! I love how you could visually see how hard that thing accelerated!!

Jerry was taking care of the ladies all day with his "Jerriatric" boat and attempted to steal my rev limiter(wife):shades:

My rev limiter never let me go over 3500rpm until I dropped her off at the dock to get the trailer so I never really got to play around with Todd or Mick!:frown::wink: DESPITE the constant twitch in my throttle arm:cool: and them running up next to me only to hammer down away from me!:nilly:
