 Reading about the 21 GT V-Drive in the "For Sale Section"...got me thinking!
Who has the Nastiest Sounding Engine out there? eek! My vote goes to John & Kathy Shabbas and their impeccable Hornet "Wa-Lo" with 700 to 1100 horses...depending on his mood! And also Mighty Mouse ...piloted by our resident "Fountain Killer" Geo........1000 Islands this year was awesome ...to watch him Bitch Slap a Triple Engine ..."Triple Digit" named Fountain....and then the guy blew an engine trying to beat Mighty Mouse...to no avail!!!

:p That was incredible to watch and hear!

wink Doc of the Yukon This Week - Brrrr!

I can't compete with WA-LO...That Big Block sound so sweet... I love to hear her idle.

I've heard the mighty WA-LO in person, but does anyone have a clip to link to? Seems I have seen (heard) one here before.

Oh yea - WA-LO gets my vote

Here is one I found of WA-LO (http://www.donzi.net/photos/MOV00704.MPG)... you gotta love 1100HP even if it is from a distance.

I know I have more, I will see what I can find.

never heard WaLo in person and it sounds like the front runner according to the above posts.

I think a strong honorable mention would have to go to Ted's (HP600) new ride as long as the names are going in the hat. Sure sounds sweeeet. There is a video clip somewhere on the boards.

This may not win for the nicest sound, but I bet it gets your attention as it goes by...

I remember when Wa-Lo was at Eufaula 3 a couple of years back, when John fired her up while I was sitting in my X-18 the idling in neutral, I couldn't even tell if my 383 with Gil exhaust was still running without looking at the tach! eek!

Sounds even better at 2:00 AM in the parking lot! :D

In the "Not a Donzi" section, my vote goes to MadMax911's Blackhawk-equipped 24' Exciter (ex Team Exciter raceboat). Big block, 510ci, 610HP, DRY PIPES!! eek! eek!

Holy Cow, that thing shakes the EARTH! We can hear Spencer coming from miles away. Very sweet sounding boat.

See the third pic on this thread:

yeah, this one (http://www.donzi.net/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=9;t=000259)

I have to vote for WA-LO also. I first got to see, hear and admire the boat at our annual Awakening of the Horses II. I remember walking out the room door and seeing the boat on the trailer in the parking lot. I thought I was still asleep and dreaming. Did I mention how much I love that Donzi? Next time I saw and when I got to finally hear the engine, we were idling out of Jamestown marina. I turned my silent choice on just to take in the beautiful rhythm of the big block just loping. You've got to experience this Donzi. You'll never forget her or her owners! Can't wait to one day see the 28 with twins and the Corsican V-Drive.

With a little luck, I will get to see this Scott B in person. I WILL be there this year, as well as my "gal". It is her FIRST DONZI experience amongst "new" friends and I am sure it will last for a lifetime. From a cruiser Sea Ray background this will rock her world. Mine will certainly be better for it as well.

See you there and, as well, if I see Wa-Lo, I will have to at least get an earful. See ya'll there....Lenny

Im blushing big time, thanks for all the compliments. I think I need to go out in the driveway and fire it up. The 28 will be ready to start rigging in about 2 weeks so I should have some pics soon.
