Finally got the fuel pump today. Put it in, changed oil and filter.
When I started it it wouldn't Idle or run on all cylinders.
took of the spark arrester it was flooding out:bonk:.

Took off the carburetor and low and behold Ethanol poisoning:mad:.
I cleaned the carb Tomorrow I'll put it back on.
I am going to try this stuff http://mystarbrite.com/startron/
I 'm really tired of draining gas all the time:boggled:. This stuff is suppose to be the cure all.:tongue:No need to drain the old fuel:cool:.

Works very well, it holds my gas over the winter. On Long Island we have had E10 a long time, it does take its toll if you don't take precautions.

What did you see in the carb that told you it was e10 damage?

:)"No damage":)

There was water. pink gas, and black bacteria:(. Only one float chamber"bowl" was filthy:boggled:. The other was relatively clean and clear:yes:

I'm thinking when I put the Star Tron in, I'll purge the fuel line by cranking it over .Remove a quart or so.Before I re attach the fuel line to the carb.
It's a Webber and Only takes an hour if that to take off ,clean, and put back on.Simple enough, But could be hours before I get towed back in:eek:

I have the edelbrock(weber carb) as well. I had about 1/2 tank of e10 from last year in the tank I put the startron stuff in it when I winterized last year. this spring I topped off the tank and it is running great so I would Highly recommend the stuff.
