After another Tennessee winter I eagerly put my 1987 22' Classic in the water for a start-up before a good cleaning. Unfortunately when the 454 started she spewed water from the back of the block. Obviously I did something incorrectly when winterizing last Nov. and the block is cracked. Does anyone have a "drop-in" 454 sitting around that they need to get gone? I'm looking for a drop in motor because I am mechanically stupid, and am going to have to hire all of the work done. I figure the drop in motor would be less of a problem than buying a rebuilt motor and having to take everything off of the old motor and then match up to the new motor. I saw the 502 in "parts for sale" but I just can't justify spending $11,500 for an engine for a boat only worth about 12k. All help will be well appreciated. I can be reached anytime @ 865-414-2031
