Hey guys,

I'm new. Anyways, I found this boat on CL in Las Vegas, guy says the boat has under 100 hrs on it, motor was just redone last year, never seen salt water, always been stored indoors, and it looks VERY clean....

BUT, I don't know what its worth.... Its a 25th anniversary 18' 2+3, 350 MC, thru hull....

I can tell you I'm not a big fan of the '80s boats.....but if its as clean as he says, it might be worth it.

Are you looking for a price to offer?

Factory condition- 15,000-16,000
very good- 14000-12000
Decent- 12,000-10000

Just my opinion in this economy with what I have seen........

The 25th anniversary makes it a little more valuable, but Donzi has released so many anniversary, LE's, SE', etc.....they are becoming kinda commenplace.

Ask a member named Lenny, or Buizilla (he sold it to Lenny), he has that exact boat......they may be able to give you a better idea.

It's worth it. If you've got the coin, buy it. I'd say $15k (so offer him 12 and see what happens)...but what do I know? Welcome to the board!

somehow I remember this boat being for sale somewhere else..... custom transom lift bracket, high exhaust, black MYCO trailer... how long has this guy had it? that engine is awful clean and done right if it was overhauled... which begs the question.... why, at less than 100 hours?

15k, all day, any day

Noticed the F/W flush, on fresh water Alpha boat kind of odd. May have been a salt boat along the way, does look very nice worth checking out.

both of my LE's had factory FW flush on the port side, in fact a substantial amount of the Staples era Classic boats came that way

+1

My '87 came from the factory with a flush on the port side.

So does Brad's (Donzi Blue); a 1987 22. I'd be willing to say that it was a common feature on this era boat.

Buiz knows what he's talking about...15k any day of the week. I'm not going to try to tell you what to do, but I would be leary of insulting the seller if you offer 10.5k. It's just my two cents, but unless it's an urgent sell he might tell you where to go...and then you'll have no Donzi...which is bad.

After looking at the ad, it looks FINE! Sounds extremely well taken care of. I would say it would be a bargain at 12,500 & if you could get it for under 14k I would say you were very lucky. The LE is not a 25th anniversary boat. It is a Limited Edition and they only made 25 of 3 models. Classic 18, Minx, & the 22 classic. To me, the LE's are the very best looking Donzi's made. The mid to late 80's Donzi's are extremely well made. It looks like a great rig, good luck. Tom

Bingo!

But be prepared to scoot a little higher, though. If the seller knows what he has (like DonziRacer illustrated), he'll be wanting top dollar...and rightfully so. Good luck!
