windshield bedding?

I'm replacing the windshield on a Hornet 3, fibreglassing the multiple holes the previous owner put into the coaming to fasten the old one down two or three times...and removing the tons of black silicone he used to seal up or bed the windshield. He did not use any of the rubber grommets to fasten it down, I plan to. Should I use anything to bed the windshield down? Was it originally just screwed in with the grommets?

As always, any help or comments...are appeciated...

What are the measurements of the grommets???

I may have the size you need.. The ones I got from Mop
were way too big, so, I have them..

I ordered the smaller size for my Criterion, but, minimum order was 100,
so I have spares of those also..

My windshield only has the grommets holding in the windshield....Ed

I think the guy making the windshield is including them, but I will confirm, if not I'll get back to you...
